Friends.

Over the years riding at Snowshoe, we've made many of friends. Here is a couple pictures taken by our friend Sam Perry. Sam's trying to make it in photography like we are trying to make it in snowboarding. We got together in the woods at Silver Creek somewhere and did a little photo shoot on a log bridge thingy set up for mtn biking. Check his website for more pictures of the log session and for his words on how the session went together.

Pictures of Timberjack Terrain Garden

Start it off with this box, slides real nice by the way.

First set: Small small jump and 10' or so flat rail.

Second set: Small small jump and 10' flat box that may be a bit catchy.

Third set: Conical object and 20' down rail.

Forth set: Small jump and 20' flat rail.

Fifth set: Two small jumps.

Reminder is that we are not employed, affiliated, or paid by Snowshoe or Intrawest. We just want to shed light on the parks left in the dark.

I climb bouys.

Here is some pics of the past 4 days at Snowshoe... we didn't get too much done due to crowds, weather, and conditions. But nonetheless fun was had and stuff got shralped.

Cov Love. HA

We spent another day hanging around in Alleghany county searching for things to hit. Ended up at the mtn lab, Rivermont, and the Va welcome center. We probably would of stuck around the mini ramp all day but we found it missing last night. I just don't see why a pile of snow cannot be left to melt in a parking lot, what harm is it doing, especialy in the K-Mart parking lot! But no, it has to be transported elsewhere to melt somewhere else. Lets waste time, gas, energy and tax money and rid the concrete jungle of all this cold, white stuff. Anyways, enough of me ranting, here are a few shots of todays action.

The House

So about the house and it being snowed in. Well it is still snowed in even after an hour of shoveling it still remains under a large amount of snow. Looks like it is going to be here for a while to. Seems like a good time.

Openings... 540 Mtn. Lab

With daytime temperatures below freezing, our boy Ryan has turned the power on for his snowmaking system. The 540 Mtn. Lab will open as soon as possible with most likely the 12ft double barrel pvc rail. Homemade fun.

This is the fan gun first turned on, making that white stuff.

Amazement

Ok, so the weather is a hard thing to judge, and usually forecasts change 10 times before weather happens... but just seeing this for Snowshoe on NOAA, is amazing... Wowww. From Friday night till Tuesday, it may figuratively, but not likely, never stop snowing.

"Friday Night: A slight chance of snow after 4am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 26. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Saturday: A chance of snow after 10am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 27. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
Saturday Night: A chance of snow. Cloudy, with a low around 17. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
Sunday: A chance of snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 23. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
Sunday Night: A chance of snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 12. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
Monday: A chance of snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 15. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
Monday Night: A chance of snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 6. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
Tuesday: A chance of snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 18. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
"

In other dream snow storm news stuff... this thing changes a bunch before anything actually happens, but to just see those amounts being a possibility for here makes me happy inside.

So yea, that's where we're at.

Today was...

foggy, wet and warm becoming frozen and cold, rainy becoming snowy, full of fun side hits, a few hits on some pulled-outta-the-woods park features (not by us, but they were there, so why not shralp?), unexpectant lift closures, and leftover food.

Honestly, this is how the top of the mountain looked... Fog.

This is the crowd waiting for the lift to start back up, expectantly shut'r down at 2 somethin.

Into the abyss.

Stuck glove, kittens.

Day ender.
