DIY Muddy Monday and The Upcoming Haps.

What are you supposed to do when no resorts within 5 hours are open? Make your own snow and shred it, duh. Master Mtn Ops Rowdy Ryan took advantage of one night of cold temps to make some homemade snow.

Shabam, one night of making.

Shhh theres a session coming.

We got it all sorted out.

Then I took an artsy shot.

This is weird.

We had to switch out rails due to lack of in-run for ol big poppa.

Notice the landing has already melted.

After shred.

Callin' it a night.

Show some love.

Snowshoe's projected 2010 Opening Day is Wednesday, November 24th! With the season right around the corner, visit their new park page on the site to see what's in store for this season! They got some new terrain, new features, some new crew members, and a new head groomer. They do plan on having terrain park features out and about on opening day in the Powdermonkey Terrain Garden.

*Reminder/Disclaimer/P.S. - We here at Southern Shralping are not endorsed by any resort, we do not post for any resort, we do not make videos for any resort, we are not paid by anyone to post anything. We simply want to share with everyone what is already available on the internet or share our very own experiences in life via this with videos or pictures. We love snowboarding.

So little time, so much fun.

With Snowshoe's recent cold spell, they were able to push out a crazy amount of snow. With everyone's schedules hard to work around, this was a short evening trip minus Rowdy Ryan who had to work. Notable happenings of the day, Stevie G and Alex landed some backflips and Sunny Seth got in a MMA fight with himself. We got a few shots we may put out in an edit here soon, until then here's some eye candy.

Stevie G goin' for a hike.

Alex spells "run" outloud while he shovels snow.

An den he gets in scenic shots.

An den he tries to bury me in snow.

2010 Snowshoe Open.

This Saturday, the 13th, at Liberty Mountain Snowflex Centre in Lynchburg, VA. As far as I can tell there is no registration fee, everyone just has to have a lift ticket. Comp starts at 7pm and goes till 12 midnight. Usually weekend rates are $7 an hour, so at most the comp will be $21. Not sure when they open for the day so maybe call up there or something. The rail jam is going to be jam format judged on two features, one being a brand new feature Snowshoe is unleashing in their own park this winter. Not sure about the format for the big air.

Here are some sites...
three different Facebook events, facebook event, and facebook event.
