Shralpin Sam showin erybody whats up in the South!

2010 West Virginia Open

Snowshoe Mtn's only event this year is being held Saturday March 13th. Apparently, this season's WV Open is to be held as a slopestyle event, rather than the rail jam format of previous years. A few months ago, I was told this event was going to be "reinvented" and brought back up to be the most prestigious event in the region again. So with that said, they have downed the top prize money from $2000 to $500 for the top skier and snowboarder divisions. Seems reinvented to me.

And maybe I am wrong, it seems to be a race this year...

Here is the facebook page for the event - 2010 WV Open

So come out and enjoy the fun.

Fire Fire Fire.

With winter weather pounding the mountainous region we live in... what better way not to get burnt out than by burning. A little summer flavor to calm the mind and have a bit of a vacation. Few friends and a fine fire. Enjoy and remember, "Only you can prevent forest fires."

Snow pit fire need constant attention.

Digi Camera.

This past Saturday, I lost my camera somewhere between Silver Creek parking lot, Timberjack, Cascade lift, Fox Chase and the bottom of Flying Eagle lift where I noticed it had fallen out of my unzipped pocket. It is a black FujiFilm J10 and should still be in a lime green case. If you or a friend happens to stumble upon it, please return it : )
As of now, I guess pics will be taken with an old rinky dink digital camera... some cell phones have better cameras than this thing.
So just giving a heads up on the photo quality change, and hoping someone that reads this has found my beloved J10...
-Peace and happy shralping!

Something to look forward to...

Think Thank has blown minds for awhile now with their team's innovative and creative riding. Peep this trailer of their new release coming out Fall of '10. Looking sick.
