So little time, so much fun.

With Snowshoe's recent cold spell, they were able to push out a crazy amount of snow. With everyone's schedules hard to work around, this was a short evening trip minus Rowdy Ryan who had to work. Notable happenings of the day, Stevie G and Alex landed some backflips and Sunny Seth got in a MMA fight with himself. We got a few shots we may put out in an edit here soon, until then here's some eye candy.

Stevie G goin' for a hike.

Alex spells "run" outloud while he shovels snow.

An den he gets in scenic shots.

An den he tries to bury me in snow.

Exercise.

Look just your size!

An den he flattens out the run in.

Sunny Seth is a workhorse, goes hard with that shovel.

An den Sunny Seth goes too hard for his lip.

Stevie G spinnin' free.

Stevie G goin' bonkers!

2010 Snowshoe Open.

This Saturday, the 13th, at Liberty Mountain Snowflex Centre in Lynchburg, VA. As far as I can tell there is no registration fee, everyone just has to have a lift ticket. Comp starts at 7pm and goes till 12 midnight. Usually weekend rates are $7 an hour, so at most the comp will be $21. Not sure when they open for the day so maybe call up there or something. The rail jam is going to be jam format judged on two features, one being a brand new feature Snowshoe is unleashing in their own park this winter. Not sure about the format for the big air.

Here are some sites...
three different Facebook events, facebook event, and facebook event.
Liberty Mountain Snowflex Centre, website and facebook.

And check out the boys at iheartsnowflex, blog and facebook.

Check the blog archieve for pictures of the event last year and here is a video from last year. Rowdy Ryan gettin' third in this jank last year so watch out this year.

Weekend Plans.

Lets face it, winter is here. This weekend poses some options for all.

Saturday November 6th 2010
1) Edge of the World Snowboard Party in Banner Elk, NC.
EOW facebook and website.
Only info I know about - Store opens at 10 am, up to 75% off on last years products, raffles throughout the day, big glove boxing, skate comp starts around 12 noon, double movie premiere around 6:30 (movies showing are Cheers and In Color), and snowboard comp starts around 8 or 8:30. Skate comp is free to enter and the snowboard comp is $25 to enter. Not sure if helmets are required. We went to this event last year and it was a blast. After the comp, we were allowed to ride the setup until the shop closed.

2) 3rd Annual Rail Jam at Field of Screams in Mountville, PA.
Field of Screams facebook, website, and registration.
Five dollar entry, helmets required, starts at 7 pm. We went to this event last year, check the archive for pictures. After the comp we weren't allowed to ride the setup anymore.

3) Cataloochee Ski Area in Maggie Valley, NC.
Cataloochee's facebook and website.
Cataloochee is planning on opening for the season. This is very weather dependent obviously. If they can make enough snow then they will open, if not then they won't. Check their website or facebook for updates and reports. I have never been so I do not know what it is like, Ryan has been so ask him what is up about it. Also I am not sure on what the lift ticket rate will be.

False Hopes.

Went up to Snowshoe to go to the Job Fair for our homies and had the hopes of poaching the first manmade snow. Title and pictures can explain we didn't get the chance.

Woke up to some cold and frost.

Top of skidder.

And bottom of skidder, enough said.

Snowshoe did however pick up a dusting of fresh snow which drifted.

Jobba Fair.

Oh! Alex.

We figured might as well scope out the Creek.

Freshies in the woods.
