Results: Boo Knob

Got back from Boo Knob this morning at 3 a.m. Ten hours total drive time. Got to shred on some "snow". The comp started with a thirty minute jam session on a short sticky box and the judges picked ten people to move on to the next round. The box was replaced with a ten foot rail, ten people jammed for awhile and the group got eliminated to six. Apparently frontflips on the side of the ramp counts as a rail trick since it is a rail jam. The group of six got a few runs each and had to vote on each other for the final results. After the comp was over it was open to ride for however long we wanted, and we stayed until they cut out the lights. The after session proved to be worth the drive more than the comp itself. We all either learned some new tricks or got our old ones dialed.
Results: 1. Thomas the line cutter 2. Steven Green 3. Bryan something 4. Ryan Holley

October 22: Boone, NC at the Appalachian State University with Cameron Pierce, John Jackson, Stevie Bell, Andreas Wiig, and Pat Moore.

Also now in the lineup is the second Boo Knob rail jam, Oct 23rd at Blue Knob, PA. They haven't put out a poster, nor did they last year, so this event gets a luxurious text description. Pictures from last year's visit can be found in the archive.

New love.

Starting to get ready up here at snowshoe for the opening of ski season, golf course is closing the 18th of next month and we will be changing over soon to skiing. New equipment is starting to roll into the snowshoe house and more is on its way,
A little preproduction action from my friends at Dynastar found its way into my quiver last season. Got a bit of help on the bindings from my friends at Head/Tyrolia.

Got the new shit coming from Nordica next. Should be rocking some new hottness from the 2010/11 group. The new Fire Arrow 80 is going to be one of the sickest carving skis of the year and will almost 100% be the ski of the year. With a tight turning radius and a twintip construction this will be an all mountain slayer for anyone. We will see how it shreds soon.

Golf Course is coming to a close soon and we will be making snow before you know it. Cant wait to see everyone out on the hill this year and shredding for sure. There will be a ski and board sacrifice before the season starts to help the Gods bring us some snow and be a plentiful year. More details to come on the party for that and it might even be held at snowshoe.
Stay Classy everyone
Alex
